OVERVIEW In the last five years, RIMCO has quickly become one of Ivory Coasts largest distributors of automotive tires and batteries. Today, RIMCO has become one of the country's most efficient and pronounced providers of automotive product and services. HISTORY RIMCO was created in 1998 when YESHI Group's business activities called for diversifying in the product import portfolio. An upsurge in distribution of Utility Vehicles, Tires and batteries, identified an opportunity. The success in the distribution of these commodities in our MCN's distribution network, confirmed a need for concentration, and full commitment to this sector. There was an urgent need for a separate company to be formed with a sole purpose of exclusive focus in the auto sector. Hence RIMCO was borne to carter and focus on the consumer in automobile market segment. RIMCO's core product and service was founded on the distribution of agricultural utility vehicles used in the farming industry. Overtime this foundation has been over shadowed and made secondary by the distribution of Tires and Batteries. And, within a period of 3 years RIMCO has become one of the main participants in regional tire and battery sector. Strengths in this sector have become more significant to our business model for success and now represent the most significant portion of the company's' annual revenue. PRODUCTS Tires and Batteries Brands : Hankook, Apollo Tyres LOCATIONS RIMCO’s headquarters and warehousing facilities are located in the Ivory Coast Capital, Abidjan. Our single major subsidiary is located in the former Capital of Ivory Coast, Bouake. RIMCO's distribution is made up of 15 distributors spread out across the country and one flagship. |
